Recentemente, a Academia anunciou a introdução de 900 novos membros ao comitê de votação, que pretende aumentar a diversidade entre os indicados e vencedores. Todos os novos integrantes convidados são mulheres e/ou não-caucasianos, abaixo de 39 anos.
A próxima edição do Grammy traz a expansão de algumas das principais categorias: gravação, música, álbum do ano e artista revelação. As 80 outras categorias permanecerão com cinco indicados apenas.
A próxima cerimônia do Grammy acontecerá em 10 de fevereiro.
